SHARES SET FOR MODEST GAINS June 15 (The Age) The Australian share market is set to open slightly higher on Thursday as BP's agreement on a $US20 billion fund (.2 billion) for victims of the United States oil spill lifted Wall Street to a modest gain. On the Sydney Futures Exchange, the June share price index contract, which expires on Thursday, was six points higher at 4,566. The new contract, for September, was four points higher at 4558. At yesterday's close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index ended up 54 points, or 1.2 per cent, at 4559 - the highest close since May 14. The broader All Ordinaries index rose 54.5 points, or 1.2 per cent, at 4572.1. Link to Article
