3rd Annual Turkish Cultural Days in Ulaanbaatar, April 22-29
H.E. Mr. Murat Karagöz, Ambassador of Turkey held a press conference on Turkish Cultural Days, to be organized on 22-29 April. Within the scope of the Turkish Cultural Days, which is aimed to strengthen the Turkish-Mongolian cultural relations, following events will take place.
On 22 April, on the occasion of the International Children’s Day, secondary school students will visit the Turkish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar. On the same day, a children’s performance will be given at the Children’s Art and Creativity Center. Under the theme of “Global Peace and Friendship”, composition and painting competitions have been organized and the winners will be awarded the Turkish Ambassador.
Ambassador Murat Karagöz and Embassy representatives will visit “Onor Bul” orphanage.
The annual Turkish Film Showcase will take place on 23-29, April. Every evening award-winning films will be shown free of charge at Tengis Cinema.
On the commemoration of the 101st anniversary of the Gallipoli war, the film “Water Diviner” will be screened at the Turkish Ambassador’s Residence. On 25 April, Anzac Day service will take place with the participation of Turkish, Australian, New Zealand and British communities at the Choijin Lama Monastery. Photo exhibition “Sceneries from Turkey” will be opened at the exhibition hall of the Mongolian Artists’ Union. A Turkish Gala Reception will be held at the Residence at 19:00.
On 27 April, H.E. Ambassador Murat Karagöz will give a lecture on “Turkey: Bridging cultures and civilizations” at the National University of Mongolia.
On 29 April, Turkish opera singer Serap Ciftci and pianist Nurser Ugan will give a performance in the State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Additionally, this year marks the 20th anniversary of establishment of Turkish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar.
