UPDATE: Turquoise Hill Chairman, New U.S. Ambassador to Make First Public Appearances in Mongolia at NAMBC Investors Conference

-       Attendance is capped at 100 to promote real dialogue, powerpoints are banned– and there are only 8 seats still available. Registrants are coming from the US, Canada, South Korea and Mongolia, including several new-to-Mongolia companies;

-       THR Chair Jill Gardiner will speak on September 30, her only public appearance in Ulaanbaatar

-       Three senior USG officials are coming from Washington to speak at the conference: Terry McCartin, Deputy Assistant US Trade Representative, who coordinates TIFA talks and the bilateral Transparency Agreement; Scott Tatlock, Executive Director for China & Mongolia, US Commerce Department; and Zhen Gong-Cross, Head of Mongolian Affairs, US Commerce Department

-       Panel on "25 Years of Mongolia's Third Neighbor Policy" includes President Ochirbat, three former Foreign Ministers, former Mongolian Ambassadors to the US and Canada and former US Ambassador to Mongolia Pamela Slutz, chairman of the NAMBC

-       New US Ambassador Jennifer Galt will make her first public speech in Mongolia at the Investors Conference on the morning of Sept 29. She is expected to arrive today in UB.

-       Panel on Constitutional Revision on Sept 30 will include MP Batchimeg and former Minister D. Tsogtbaatar.
